Zaha-Hadid is one of my favorite architects. I admire the boldness of her work and the use of forms that can be both simple and futuristic. This is the case of the Grand Theatre Rabat, in Morocco, the project still in concept stage but I'd like to share with you.

This building estimated at 120 Million Euros will receive up to 7,000 people in a complex with three theaters. The Grand Theatre will be part of the largest development program in Morocco. And he certainly will be a landmark in the region because it has totally innovative shapes even more considering the surrounding characteristic of the buildings in the city. And as said Mr Essakl, director of the agency that chose the design of Zaha, "The construction of the Grand Theatre will allow Rabat to showcase its rich cultural heritage as one the world’s greatest cultural centres."

The dynamics of the river is introduced into the site, generating the landscape of the park that engulfs the amphitheatre. This gesture gathers strength from the ground and in one fluent sweep, extends into the sky to generate the envelope that sculpts itself over the two auditoria, arches back to the ground and melts back into the landscape.
