After teasing the return of the Lamborghini Gallardo Nera a couple of months ago, Underground Racing is back with yet another tuning kit for the Gallardo. It may not be the Nera, but the Lamborghini Gallardo TT will certainly beat many other cars to the punch with its array of engine options and its killer speed.

The new Gallardo TT will be offered in three different engine stages with updates ranging from Stage One’s 650 WHP all the way up to Stage Three’s 1250 WHP on race fuel. If that’s not enough to tantalize your taste buds, Underground Racing has a Race Version Turbo System with a highly modified twin-turbo engine that will increase the output to a total of 1500 WHP on race fuel to make us feel all tingly inside.

The fun is all in the end result, but to get there, Underground Racing added a slew of products. The package includes custom twin billet 62mm precision turbochargers, TiAL billet wastegates and billet blow off valves, custom fabricated stainless steel air induction using aircraft quality metal, and a custom Air/Water intercooler system with high flow water pump. Everything is cleaned up and ready to go with a custom ice water reservoir, high flow intercooler water heat exchanger, crankcase ventilation system, and K&N air filters. The engine’s beautiful sounds will rip out of a custom fabricated stainless steel exhaust using aircraft quality metal and ultra lightweight stainless steel mufflers.

Prices for the Lamborghini Gallardo TT will range from $35,000 to $109,000, depending on the stage. Hey, speed and beauty doesn’t come cheap.

When it comes to supercars, America is fairly well-represented against its European contemporaries with the SSC Ultimate Aero and the Saleen S7. But even if the Land of the Free has some noteworthy machines on its side, the other side of the pond has more options to choose from, including the high-and-mighty Bugatti Veyron.

In an attempt to bolster the American supercar line-up, Mach7 Motorsports, led by its founders, Jeff and Carl Lemke, recently introduced the Falcon supercar at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show. Despite being a pre-production car, all signs are pointing to the Mach77 Falcon being ready for production in the future, at least until after finishing touches and performance tests are done on it.

In any case, Mach7 is looking into building 15 Falcon models every year with seven being built at a time and in six-month intervals. When it becomes ready to be sent off to dealerships, early estimates indicate that the Falcon will be priced at around $200,000, a far cheaper alternative than its American supercar brethren, the Saleen S7 and the SSC Ultimate Aero.

Exterior

The Falcon’s body is made up entirely of carbon fiber although you probably won’t notice as it lies under whatever color scheme the owner wants for his supercar. There are touches of the high-grade material that will still be visible to the naked eye, particularly at the side sills, rear fascia, canopy structure, and replaceable front splitter. Once you open the Falcon’s clamshell hood and the deck lid on the back, you’ll also be seeing the carbon fiber found in the car’s inner structure, wheel wells, and engine bay coverings. The resin-infused carbon fiber panels used in the Falcon were built in-house by M7M and are considered light, corrosion-proof, and crack-resistant, ensuring that its light weight yet boasting of the tensile strength of steel.

On top of all the carbon fiber goodies, the Falcon also has a strong, lightweight hydro-formed chassis that has been combined with aluminum components, ensuring the car’s strength and sturdiness.

Other items of note from the Falcon’s exterior include a removable targa roof panel and a set of 20” forgeline wheels with Michelin 275/35 front and 335/30 rear high performance tires.

Interior

Over at the interior, you’ll find two high-end Venzano racing leather seats, a chrome and leather steering wheel, and state-of-the-art gadgetry that includes a built-in Garmin navigation system, Bluetooth, a built-in iPod/iPhone dock, and a Bose premium sound system.

Performance

Test estimates on the LS3 engine will net a 0-60 mph time of just under four seconds...

The base model of the Falcon will come with a 6.2-liter LS3 Corvette V8 engine that produces around 500 horsepower. Mach7 Motorsports is also offering an upgraded engine option that will come with either an LS7 or LS9 supercharged engine that spikes up the output to 640 horsepower. Test estimates on the LS3 engine will net a 0-60 mph time of just under four seconds with an LS9 supercharged engine hitting the same speed in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of well over 200 mph.

Pricing

Mach7 Motorsports is hoping to build 15 of their Falcons supercars a year with each model costing somewhere around $200,000. Oh, the price you pay for an all-American supercar.

Competition

If we are to consider the Mach7 Motorsports Falcon as an American supercar, then two supercars come to mind in terms of being its most prominent competition: the Saleen S7 and the SSC Ultimate Aero.

Realistically speaking, the Ultimate Aero - and the Ultimate Aero II, for that matter - is a little out of the Falcon’s league, leaving the Saleen S7 as the car that the Falcon will most often be compared to.

Judging by the numbers, the two cars have roughly the same performance specs - the S7 also comes with a V8 engine that produces 550 horsepower - with both vehicles also having optional engine upgrades that pumps up the output to somewhere north of 640 horsepower.

Bugatti is making headlines with their very first appearance at the Qatar Motor Show, but they did not display their latest Super Sport supercar for all to see. Instead, France’s legendary automotive marque opted to reveal the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, the world’s fastest, most powerful, and most exclusive open-top car.

Like with the coupe version, the Grand Sport edition is powered by a 8 liter W16 engine that develops an impressive 1,001 hp at 6,000 rpm. This glorious engine will sprint the car from 0 to 60 mph in an incredible 2.7 seconds. Top speed goes up to 252 mph, but jumps down to 217mph with the top down.

"When I had the chance to test-drive the new Grand Sport for the first time, I was filled with excitement,” said Pierre-Henri Raphanel, Bugatti’s official pilot, "as soon as I shifted into second gear, I immediately knew this was a completely different car. Even with the roof on, the driving experience was more intense – I could feel it in my fingertips and at the base of my spine. The car was more precise with less understeer, almost as if you had taken some filters away from the suspension and the steering."

Bugatti made a fine choice for the maiden Qatar visit, but we hope next time they come packing a much newer model.

We may be busy anticipating the much-awaited arrival of the Lamborghini Aventador at the Geneva Motor show, but softening the blow of time is Lamborghini’s new special edition Gallardo LP 560-4 Bicolore revealed at the 2011 Qatar Motor Show. This special edition will only set tires on the European and Asian-Pacific markets, but as an honorable mention, the American market will be offered the LP 550-2 version of the special edition.

"With the Gallardo LP 560-4 Bicolore, Lamborghini demonstrates once again the extreme, uncompromising and unmistakably Italian nature of our brand. The super sports cars from Lamborghini combine volcanic energy with design that is as unique as it is stylish," says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

The Bicolore edition will be distinguished by a refined contrast between the black roof and whatever color is chosen for the rest of the body. Under the hood will be a V10 engine with 560 HP that will sprint the car to a top speed of 201 mph.

Exterior

The Bicolore edition will be distinguished by a combination of two colors: the pillars, roof, engine hood and rear spoiler will be painted in Noctis Black, while the lower area of the body will be available in a choice of five colors: Giallo Midas, Arancio Borealis, Grigio Telesto, Bianco Monocerus, and Blu Caelum. That’s yellow, orange, gray, white, and blue for us common folk. The air intakes, front spoiler, and rear diffuser will be dressed in a high-gloss black finish to complete the exterior color scheme of the vehicle.

The aggressive appearance of the exterior is continued by forged Skorpius aluminum-alloy rims with 15 thin spokes and finished in a titanium gray enamel.

Interior

The same dual-color contrasting combination continues inside the Lamborghini with the instrument panel, seats, door panels, and other elements in the passenger compartment finished in "Nero Persus" leather combined with precise stitching. This stitching will be done in the same color chosen on the exterior with options of yellow, orange, blue, and gray.

The bezel of the e-gear transmission on the center console is painted in Nero Noctis, just like the upper area of the vehicle.

Engine

Under the hood, the special edition Gallardo is rocking a 5.2 liter, 90° V-10 engine with stratified direct injection that delivers a tremendous 560 HP at 8000 rpm. With this amount of power, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Bicolore accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, 0-124 mph at 11.8 seconds, and has a top speed of 201 mph.

Prices

Lamborghini hasn’t revealed any prices for the Bicolore edition just yet, but surely it will cost more than a standard Gallardo LP560-4 at $205,000. The Bicolore Special Edition is particularly intended for the enthusiast who desires a supercar with an exclusive appearance and remarkable design. In any event, he or she will own a Lamborghini that is altogether distinguished by an extremely dynamic character, maximum driving excitement, and an ability to be driven daily.

For a car that has many Porsche enthusiasts up in arms, the Porsche Panamera isn’t scaring away any tuners from modifying the luxury sports sedan inside and out. We’ve seen kits from Mansory, Vorsteiner, Edo Competition, and many more, but we have a feeling that none of these tuning kits will hold a candle to the amount of carbon fiber that is juts oozing out og TechArt’s new kit for the Panamera.

Dressed in head to toe carbon fiber, TechArt’s Porsche Panamera GrandGT is nothing short of CB heaven. We’re talking a new front apron with a front grill insert and splitter, a rear diffuser, the gurney flap of the dominant rear spoiler, and the air ducts at the flanks of the car all made up of this highly touted material. The use of carbon fiber has lead to an impressive dimensional stability, great strength, and a low intrinsic weight.

The same carbon fiber overhaul was also brought into the interior with the dashboard and the door panels, as well as the center console panels and the illuminated door entry guards all dressed to impress with the same carbon fiber.

Since it seems that carbon fiber was the only way to go for this tuning project, we didn’t really expect any engine modifications at this point. However, if we had our way, we’d bring back the engine mod done on the last TechArt Grand GT. That kit brought out 571 ponies and 830 Nm of torque, which would complete this carbon fiber package rather nicely.

What happens when you put Kawasaki ZX10 against Jim Guthrie and his Corvette-powered Mazda RX-7 drift machine? The answer is as simple as possible: greatest show ever! And by the way, ZX10 piloted by Nicj Brocha. And if we are talking about a drift battle even better!

We don’t know about you, but we watch this video over and over again and we can not decided which one do we prefer better: the moto or the car. So, conclusion, we’ll take both. They seem to be equally fun to drive and they both drift impressive. And now imagine this: the RX-7 is no doubt an impressive car. Now put under the hood a Corvette engine and imagine what it could no next! All we need next is a race track and the two one next to each other!
