This week, we present you the elegant Torres House.
The Torres House is a project by GLR Arquitectos, a recognized architecture firm located in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. These guys have a portfolio so amazing that it was a bit rough to choose among all the great houses. But today we will talk about the Torres House, or Casa Torres, its original name. The idea was to establish an intimate contact between the house and the nature surrounding it. The house has a discrete entrance that hides behind a huge oak tree, the mural-like door is constructed with marble, wood and steel. The inside of Casa Torres has an interesting mix of materials, marble, volcanic stone walls, glass, wood and indirect lightening. Really unique.
I think that the best word to describe Casa Torres is elegant. The whole composition is simply astonishing. The floor, walls, decoration... everything is pretty unique and delivers a really beautiful result, even for those that don't like to have many elements in a decoration - like me. Great house!
Check out GLR Arquitectos website for further details about their projects. See you next time. :)
We found this house at archdaily.
